Tryouts Update - September 20, 2024
It is National Coaches Week and we would like to celebrate the positive impact coaches have on our players! Our Conditioning Camps have been great and the efforts of not just our coaches, but all volunteers make our association a positive one. Pease take an opportunity to recognize coaches for the integral role they play, and to take time to say Thanks Coach this weekend!
Please read through the rest of this email.

***IMPORTANT TRYOUT REMINDERS***
No parents allowed entering the ice rinks during tryouts/evaluations. Please have your player arrive at least 30 minutes before they are on ice and to check in at the front desk in our lobby between Scotia 1 and 2. Make sure you bring both tryout jerseys with you each time you come to the rink. Coaches and room monitors will be in the dressing rooms to help any player with skates or equipment to make sure they are fully prepared for their session. For the first two sessions, defence will be wearing their blue jersey and forwards wear red jersey; but bring both just in case.
For Rep Tryouts (U11-U13-U15-U18) For any players that have helmet stickers representing spring, elite or AAA leagues, etc, they will have to be removed or covered with tape during the tryout process. this also applies to wearing identifying socks to any outside hockey programs. Socks should be Wings or plain colours without logos.
BE SURE to check all gear to make sure all is in proper function and order and in their hockey bag, helmet screws and straps are tight and skates are sharpened. Check skate laces to make sure they are not ready to break. We have seen many players scrambling replacing laces before going on the ice. Stick is taped and ready to go.
