About CHBA

The Cole Harbour Bel Ayr Minor Hockey Association has had a proud history since its beginnings in 1964. At that time, the Association consisted of four teams with less than 50 players. Today, our Association has grown to in excess of 600 registered players involving some 30 teams playing at the U7, U9, U13, U15, U18 and U24 levels.

The objective of Cole Harbour Bel Ayr Minor Hockey Association is to foster and encourage good sportsmanship in an atmosphere that promotes the development of hockey skills in a fun and rewarding environment. All home games are played at Cole Harbour Place, Forest Hills Parkway. Drop by on most evenings and weekends, and watch the youth of your community enjoy the game of hockey.

We are also the proud hosts of the Joe Lamontagne Tournament.

Joe Lamontagne was the first chairman of the March Break Tournament (D divisions only). Joe became a community leader in 1973 working with Shannon Heights minor hockey and ringette. He was a member of the Cole Harbour minor hockey executive from 1979-1986 and gave unselfishly of his time and was deeply involved in the community fund-raising events. Joe was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
