It was a night to remember inside the home barn as the Wings battled hard and finally earned their first home win of the season — a gritty 4–3 victory over TASA Orange.

The energy was electric from puck drop, with both teams trading chances early. TASA opened the scoring midway through the first, but the Wings refused to head into intermission empty-handed. With just 20 seconds left on the clock, Beckett Tink buried the equalizer off a slick feed from Blake Matthews, setting the tone for the rest of the night.

In the second period, TASA regained the lead, but the Wings responded with one for the highlight reel. On the power play, Hunter Rozee showed off some filthy hands, dangling through the defense and tucking one past the TASA goaltender to tie it up once again.

The third period was all heart and hustle. Down by one and killing an early penalty, Harrison Lind intercepted a pass in the neutral zone, broke free, and scored short-handed to even things up at three apiece. The momentum swung fully in the Wings’ favour after that.

Minutes later, Lucas Van Dusen set up Hunter Rozee for his second of the night — a perfectly timed play that turned out to be the game-winner. Rozee’s two-goal effort and relentless play earned him Player of the Game honours.

A full team effort, a loud crowd, and a well-deserved win — that’s Wings hockey.

The team will look to keep the momentum rolling when they hit the road this Sunday, November 16th, to face Sackville Black at Sackville Arena. Puck drops at 10:00 a.m.

The Wings took another tough home loss Monday night, falling 4–2 to Bedford White, but they didn’t go down without a fight.

Bedford set the tone early, burying two goals in the opening period and holding that lead through much of the game. Despite the slow start, the Wings kept battling, and their persistence finally paid off late in the second period. Beckett Tink fed Blake Matthews a slick pass out in front of Bedford’s net, and Matthews made no mistake—sniping it top shelf, right where grandma keeps the cookie jar.

Bedford was quick to respond, restoring their two-goal lead with what turned out to be the game winner, but the Wings refused to fold. With less than a minute left in the frame, Hunter Rozee buried one, assisted by Lucas Van Dusen, to pull the Wings back within one.

The Wings pushed hard in the third, giving it everything they had. In the final minutes, goaltender Andrew Casavechia was pulled for the extra attacker, but Bedford managed to slip one through the Wings’ defensive wall and seal the win with an empty netter.

Player of the Game honors went to Blake Matthews, proudly sponsored by The Pike Group. Matthews was a force all night, showing relentless hustle on every shift and driving hard to the net every chance he got. His hands were absolutely filthy—deking defenders and creating scoring chances out of nothing. Beyond the highlight-reel goal, Blake’s energy and compete level set the tone for his teammates and kept the Wings in the fight until the very end.

The team now gets a week to recover and regroup with a few practices before their next matchup. The Wings will be back in their home barn at Scotia 2 for their regular Monday night game, where they’ll face TASA Orange. Puck drops at 7:30pm.
