WINGS FALL 3–1 TO SACKVILLE BLACK IN TOUGH MORNING MATCHUP

SACKVILLE — The Wings took to the ice early this morning at Sackville Arena, battling hard but ultimately dropping a 3–1 decision to Sackville Black.

Sackville set the pace through much of the game, capitalizing on their chances while the Wings relied on a strong defensive showing to stay within reach. Cole Harbour’s blue line was steady throughout, blocking lanes, winning battles, and giving their teammates a chance to climb back into it.

The breakthrough finally came in the third period, when Thatcher Anderson buried the Wings’ lone goal. The play was set up beautifully by Hunter Rozee and Ellis Young, whose quick touches opened the lane for Anderson to finish. The goal sparked some late-life into the Wings’ push, but Sackville Black held on to secure the win.

Anderson’s effort on both sides of the puck earned him Player of the Game honors, proudly sponsored by HFX Games.

Despite the loss, the Wings showed grit, structure, and resilience—qualities they’ll be leaning on as they turn the page and shift focus to their next matchup.

The Wings are back in their home barn tomorrow night, where they’ll take on Bedford Blue. Puck drops at 7:30pm.
