- Goalies - Please sign up for your respective level and there will be additional goalie specific pre-season camps at no extra fee.
- Groups for Pre-Season Camps will be based on a combination of birth years and last level played. Not Alphabetical. This is to ensure we are following Hockey Canada guidelines of ensuring players are put into environments that support their Long-Term Player Development (LTPD). Players develop at a quicker rate when surrounded by players that share the same level of hockey progression. There are no evaluations, and notes are not being kept during Pre-Season Camps.
- Pre-determined practice plans to be used for improved flow and efficiency.
- The focus is on easy-to-understand drills with as many reps as possible.
- Registered Goalies will receive a warmup as designed by our Goalie Development and they will be put into environments for personal development.
All practices will contain a quick warmup with 10-15 minutes of high tempo skating, followed by stations with a focus on the skills required to ready our players for the upcoming season. Players will have water-hydration breaks. Plans support both the forward and defensive player positions.
Sessions will include:
Return to Basics (skating, endurance, puck control)
Skating/Puck Control
Goal Scoring/Shooting/Passing
Battles/Compete Drills (non-contact for U15-U18)
Small Area Games
Preview/Run-through of Tryout drills (non-contact for U15-U18)
